Hasroun distant from Beirut 107 km, and from Tripoli (capital of north) 43 km, and it is linked with high way (Beirut - Tripoli), from three outlets:
1- Chekka - Amioun - Kousba - Hadath el Jebbeh - Hasroun
2- Tripoli - Kousba - Hadath el Jebbeh - Hasroun
3- Tripoli - Zgharta - Ehden - Bcharreh - Hasroun
Characteristics
Lebanese mountaineer beautiful town, relaxing on the shoulder of the valley saint. The number of houses exceeded one thousand houses and it gathers in the middle of a natural environment, which surround the town from the four directions.
These houses still keep the shape of the Lebanese traditional building. Stonewall with red bricks, which neighbor its gardens and fruitful trees, and especially the trees of hazelnuts, which are unique to Hasroun. More over to different kinds of vegetables. There are also the cedars, cypress, pine and popular.
Hasroun is considered from the most beautiful towns during summer time and is characterized by its natural beauty surrounded by mountain and low lands which are too much declined, in addition to what nature gave it from wealth in streams, spread all over the region which characterized it with greenness, shows the fertilization of the land and abundant resources.
In Hasroun, there are enough cafes, parks, restaurants where the tourist can find harmony in such Lebanese traditional atmosphere.
More than that, there's a trade market with many shops, all along the road which crosses the town and rarely someone can lack a product in Hasroun, which can be considered from the most beautiful summer resorts, and still keep its traditional shape remarkably.
Population
The number of inhabitants surpasses 10000 person among them 3900 voters.
Many of the migrant families the 35000 are prevailed in the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Argentine, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Africa and so many countries of the Lebanese expansion.
It is mentioned earlier in the beginning of the twenties of the 20th century. The biggest colonies in Detroit were the Hasroun colony where the number of its members reached 10000. Today the biggest community, which still communicates with the mother nation, is in Australia.
Many immigrants contribute to the development of their village from different sides and they shared other Lebanese people in many countries to spread national culture and tradition. Moreover, they acceded the best ranks and positions, by being an effective power inside their societies. The number of inhabitants decreased in Hasroun during winter, however, it increased during summer time. For this reason the inhabitant’s move to work and be educated.
